A teenager has been arrested after mutilated fox remains were found on a residential road.

Police were called to Springbank Road in Cheltenham on 11 December after a member of the public discovered the dead animal.

A 17-year-old boy, from Cheltenham, was arrested on Saturday 21 December on suspicion of committing animal welfare offences and outraging public decency.

He was interviewed by police and bailed on the condition he does not possess any animal other than his family dog.

Gloucestershire Police are asking anyone with information about what happened to contact them on 101.
