Rapist's sentence extended for stalking offences

A man serving 10 and a half years for rape has had his time in jail extended by six months after pleading guilty to two counts of stalking.
Carl Wallis, 38, from Brookdene, Swindon, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on Monday after previously being sentenced for rape in February.
He admitted putting trackers in the cars of two women so he could follow them.
Police have said the women, who have both been granted restraining orders against Wallis, were left "quite distressed" by his actions.
'Profound effect'
Det Con Anna McCormack, the investigating officer from Wiltshire Police, commended the victims and said they had "remained strong in seeing this process through to the end".
"Stalking is a crime which has a profound effect on those experiencing it.
"This is something Wiltshire Police take seriously and we will respond robustly to reports of fixated, obsessive, unwanted and repeated behaviour which intrusively impacts upon people's lives."
The force said that if people do not want to report what has happened to the police, then charities like the Suzy Lamplugh Trust and Protection Against Stalking, external are also available.
The sentence for rape was after Wallis found guilty of raping a woman while she was passed out, leaving her feeling "dirty and humiliated".
His victim only found out about what had happened six years later, after seeing pictures and videos of the incident on a phone.
