Man bailed after stabbing at bus station

A man arrested after another man was stabbed in the neck at a bus station in Leicester has been bailed.

Officers were called to the Haymarket bus station in Belgrave Gate at about 20:35 BST on Monday and the area was cordoned off.

Police said a 44-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, but his injury was not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A 43-year-old was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and later bailed.

Another man, 23, also sustained minor injuries during the incident, Leicestershire Police said.

A police cordon in the area has now been lifted and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.
