Two artists from Kent have created a series of posters to encourage people to explore the county by train.

Southeastern has commissioned Broadstairs-based illustrator Lisa McGuiness and street artist Catman to design pieces for seven destinations.

“Inspired by the popularity of vintage rail posters”, the rail provider said it asked the artists to create something similar "with a modern twist”.

“I have always had a love of transport posters and it is brilliant to be part of that legacy,” said Lisa.

She added: “The reaction to the illustrations has been fantastic, especially within the local community.”

Lisa designed the posters for Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate.

Catman said: “I already had a connection with each destination I was asked to paint, so it was a pleasure to be involved.

"I studied art in both Canterbury and Rochester, spent much of my childhood in Faversham, and grew up and lived in Whitstable.”

The posters are now on display at their relevant stations.
