Hit-and-run leaves woman, 73, seriously injured

A woman has suffered life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Evesham, police have said.

It happened just after 11:00 GMT on Bridge Street, near to Workman Bridge.

West Mercia Police said the 73-year-old was crossing the road when she was struck by the driver of a Grey Ford Kuga.

She is currently in hospital being treated for serious injuries.

"Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision happen and to anyone who may have dashcam footage from around the time it happened," a spokesperson for the force said.
