Equipment worth £50,000 has been stolen from an Aberdeenshire Council depot in Inverurie.
Items, including a mini digger and two trailers, were taken from the town's Harlaw Road overnight from Friday into Saturday. Tools and a generator were also stolen.
Police Scotland, appealing for any information, external and dashcam footage, said it was believed a green Jaguar X-Type car - which was later found burned out in Meikle Wartle - and a blue Transit van were used to carry out the theft.
Aberdeenshire Council described the theft from the depot as "very disappointing" and "disruptive to services", and encouraged anybody with information to contact police.
