Police are trying to track down a dog walker after her two pets allegedly attacked a woman and her dog, injuring both.

Gloucestershire Police said the woman sustained a puncture wound after the two Border Collies tried to attack her Cockapoo, which needed veterinary treatment due to an ear injury.

The owner of the collies was described as white, in her 60s and with a strawberry blonde hair. She was wearing dark trousers and a striped jacket, police said.

Officers want to hear from anyone with information about the incident, which happened in Kilcot Woods in Newent on 15 September at about 16:15 BST.

One of the long-haired border collies was black and white and the other was brown and white, Gloucestershire Police said.

Their owner did not stop to check on the other woman and her dog after the attack, the force added.
