Murder charge after man, 87, found dead

A man has been charged with murder following the death of an 87-year-old man in south-east London.
Vasile Iosebica, 47, of Wellmeadow Road, Lewisham, was known to the victim, Brian Hunt, and will appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, said the Metropolitan Police.
Emergency services were called at about 01:00 BST on Sunday, 24 August, to an address in Wellmeadow Road, Lewisham, where Mr Hunt man was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination held on Monday gave the cause of death as compression of the neck.
Mr Hunt's next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers, the Met has said.
