Police hope to reunite eight bikes suspected of being stolen with their rightful owners.

An officer discovered the bikes at an Orton Malborne flat in Blackmead, Peterborough, when responding to a "separate matter" on Monday.

No arrests have been made but police officers said its inquiries were ongoing.

Any owners should contact the police with proof of ownership to recover their bike.

PC Saunders said: “I am appealing to anyone who has found themselves to be victim of bike theft to check whether any of the recovered bikes could be theirs – if they are stolen, I am hoping we will be able to reunite them with their rightful owners.”
