A fire involving a golf buggy has been extinguished at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Revellers took to social media to share images of black smoke billowing into the air at the Seaclose Park site in Newport.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed the blaze was caused by a buggy that was being used by people to "travel around the festival site" and an "on-site fire team extinguished it".

Nobody was injured and the event has not been impacted.
