Children have carved hundreds of Halloween pumpkins to raise money for charity.

Donors in Linton, Herefordshire, were given the opportunity to sponsor a gourd for £5, and the option to attach a message.

Light Up Linton is in aid of Ross First Responders and St. Michael's Hospice.

Organised by a team led by Lin Forward, the event has so far raised more than £1,500.

Pumpkins could be sponsored online or in person at The Alma Inn

A total of 310 pumpkins, donated by local farmers, are dotted throughout the village and will be on display until the end of the month.

The "vast majority" of the designs were carved by children from local schools with some assistance from volunteers.

The event has been supported by local businesses SOUP by T, Three Shires Garden Centre, The Lea Village Stores and Over Farm.
