Fire crews rescue driver after tractor catches fire

Firefighters have rescued a tractor driver after an incident involving a tractor, a pylon and the surrounding fields.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Grange Road in Duxford at 16:44 BST on Thursday.

Crews from Gamlingay, Linton and Cambridge rescued the tractor driver and worked with UK Power Networks to isolate the power.

A spokesperson for the service said crews extinguished the fire, which had spread to the surrounding area, and returned to their stations by 20:45.
