A university is offering scholarships to four more Palestinian students.
Earlier this year, the University of Sussex launched its Scholarships for Palestine programme and welcomed two master's students from Gaza.
As a result of additional funding, four more fully-funded scholarships for Palestinians have been created, the institution said.
"We are now working closely with the government to ensure evacuation for four more scholarship-holders so that they can start their studies here as soon as possible," a university spokesperson said.
The two current scholarship-holders arrived and began their courses at the university, with special transition and induction support from staff, the institution added.
Vice-chancellor Prof Sasha Roseneil previously said: "Sussex is global through and through, with a long history of internationalism, and we hope that these new scholarships will give Palestinian students the opportunity to successfully continue their studies and advance their learning in a safe environment."
For the next academic year, it is also offering five master's scholarships for students from Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria through the Saïd Foundation, the spokesperson added.
One is to be available at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), with up to four others in any other University of Sussex department.
"We also continue to seek further support to expand our scholarship offer for the next academic year," the spokesperson added.
