A section of road in Guildford has reopened after a lorry crashed into a railway bridge forcing its closure.
The vehicle, travelling westbound on the A25 Midleton Road, hit the bridge at about 06:00 BST on Wednesday.
Trains were delayed following the incident but were using the bridge as normal again from 08:00, according to Network Rail.
The westbound carriageway was reopened by 11:00 after Surrey Police helped remove the stranded vehicle.
Network Rail said it had stopped trains as a precaution to allow for an inspection of the bridge.
"We thank passengers for their patience and understanding and apologise for the disruption this incident caused to their journeys," a spokesperson added.
