Man arrested in murder investigation released on bail

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after an alleged assault has been released on police bail.
Gwent Police said a 52-year-old man was found unresponsive at a house in Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent, on Wednesday, following an incident near The Picture House pub on Tuesday.
The force said a 45-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has now been released pending further enquiries.
Det Ch Supt Nick Wilkie said: "Our investigation is continuing and we would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the alleged assault or was inside The Picture House pub between 9am and 11:30am on Tuesday.
"We understand that reports of this nature cause concern for our communities."
Police said the victim did not want hospital treatment following the incident near to the pub on Market Street at about 11:25 BST on Tuesday, and later died.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Det Ch Supt Wilkie said they believed this to be an isolated incident and they did not believe there was any ongoing risk to the public.
