Police are hunting a man accused of spitting at a woman and then deliberately driving at her in a road rage attack.
The suspect followed the woman through Gloucester in his black Audi on Sunday evening, Gloucestershire Police said.
He then spat at her car and attempted to get into it when she parked on Bristol Road in the village of Hardwicke at about 20:45 BST.
When the woman got out of her car and challenged the man, he spat at her and threatened to run her over.
The suspect returned to his vehicle and drove off when a member of the public intervened, police said, hitting the woman with his car in the process.
She attended hospital as a precaution.
Anyone with information or who may have relevant dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
