Man in his 20s dies in Carryduff Road car crash

A man who died following a single-vehicle crash on Saturday evening has been named as 21-year-old David McDonald from the Carryduff area.

The incident happened shortly after 19:00 GMT on the Carryduff Road in Temple, County Down.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene but Mr McDonald was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car - a man also in his 20s - sustained injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) statement said officers from it's Collision Investigation Unit "continue to investigate the circumstances" surrounding the crash.

They have appealed for witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.

A man aged in his 80s remains in a critical condition following a seperate two-vehicle collision near Dungannon.

That incident happened on the Ballygawley Road shortly after 09:20 GMT on Saturday.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital.
