A man has died in a road crash involving three vehicles on a busy A road.

Police said the collision involved a Vauxhall Vivaro van, an HGV and a Ford Laika and took place at about 16:50 BST on the A428 near Eltisley, Cambridgeshire.

The driver of the van, a man in his 60s, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where he died this morning.

The lorry driver, a 53-year-old man from Doncaster, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody. Police are appealing for information.
