A seventh man has been charged after a man was stabbed to death in Stoke-on-Trent.

Thapelo Jali, 21, was found in an alleyway on Buccleuch Road, Normacot, on 22 July and died at the scene.

Lukman Khan, 23, of Normacot, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday.

Six other men have also been charged over Mr Jali's death and five of them are expected to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 11 October.

Mr Khan was arrested on Thursday alongside a 33-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, on suspicion of murder.

The 33-year-old has subsequently been released on conditional bail as police continue their investigation.

A 35-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and a 62-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender were both previously released on bail, police said.
