Children's splash pool reopens after sickness fears
- Published
A swimming pool play park has reopened after claims children who played at the space had become sick.
Portsmouth City Council closed Hilsea Jubilee Splash Pool last week as a precaution after a "bout of sickness" in children who visited the site.
The local authority drained the pools and sent water off for tests which it has confirmed have "come back clear".
The park reopened on Thursday and the council apologised to residents for the disruption, whilst it assured visitors that staff would "carry out daily testing and treat the water as needed".
It added that toilets in the area have been "deep cleaned".
