A child has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a white Ford Transit Custom van.

North Wales Police said the incident, on Bridge Street in Llanrwst, Conwy county, was reported at 17:20 BST on Friday.

The child was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool with serious injuries.

Police said the A470 through the town remained closed as officers carried out their enquiries and appealed for witnesses or dashcam footage that could help with their investigation.
