A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in Lincolnshire.

Police were called to the A151 Corby Road, Grimsthorpe, shortly after 20:35 BST on Monday after reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a blue Suzuki motorbike.

The motorcyclist, a man aged 39, died at the scene and his next of kin have been informed, Lincolnshire Police said.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage which could assist the investigation, is asked to contact the force.

A police spokesperson said the motorcyclist had been travelling west towards Corby Glen at the time.

"We understand the victim had been travelling with a second motorcyclist on a black Yamaha," they said.

It was thought the second rider was some distance ahead at the time of the crash, the spokesperson added.

Officers have appealed for two motorcyclists who stopped to help at the scene before the emergency services arrived to get in touch.
