Manx fast craft sailings are set to resume as part of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's summer schedule.

The Manannan, which has been used by the ferry operator since 2009, will leave Douglas at 15:00 GMT and arrive in Liverpool at 17:45.

While the vessel, which is in operation until 26 October, primarily sails to Liverpool, it will also undertake several crossings to Dublin and Belfast.

The firm said the key change this year was that there would be more regular sailings between the island and Belfast which were primarily carried out by the Manannan.

That "improved schedule" would see three sailings a week from 3 April until 21 March, it added.

Meanwhile, several Manxman sailings have been rescheduled from Saturday until Tuesday due to tidal restrictions in Douglas Port.
