A man with a love of bins has created a second charity calendar featuring photos of his local favourites.

Andy Bailey's Bins of Congleton Instagram account has more than 8,000 followers, and said when a new bin was installed in the area, he was "inundated" with messages.

Among the bins he has named are Bincent Van Gough, Bindiana Jones, and Binny Ocean, adding that people still seemed to enjoy his posts two years after he started publishing on social media.

This year's calendar is again raising money for Congleton-based children's mental health charity Visyon.

One of his favourite bins is tucked into a hedgerow in Congleton Park.

That one Mr Bailey has called Binson in Hedges, and he described the cigarette reference as "a bit of a throwback, but a real favourite".

As Congleton grows, new bins come, but the old ones never get replaced, he said, adding to the fabric and backdrop of the town.

Recently a local bin was set on fire, and he said he ended up as the "go-to spokesperson".

"That was never on the bingo card!" he laughed.

People also now send him pictures from bins all over the world, in a feature on the Instagram page called Holiday Bins.

Those include bins in front of the Trevi Fountain in Rome, and Sydney Opera House.

Having raised the "unlikely sum" of £781 for charity last year, this year he is hoping to raise £1,000 for the same organisation, Visyon, which he said was "very much under the radar, but brilliant."
