Two key routes in a city centre have reopened after they were shut due to police incidents.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol has reopened and a large emergency service presence on the Portway has been cleared, Avon and Somerset Police said.

In the city centre, a police cordon on Rupert Street, near Bridewell Police Station, has been lifted.

The force said both incidents were welfare-related.
