Leisure centre revamp gets under way

Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex on Rowley Road is undergoing a transformation

Work has begun at a Boston leisure centre as part of a revamp of local facilities.
Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex is being upgraded after Boston Borough Council was given £280,000 from Sport England's Swimming Pool Support Fund.
It is part of a wider £14.5m investment into the town, which includes a new public plaza linking the complex to Boston College's Mayflower development.
Council leader Dale Broughton called the start of the work a "major milestone".
The second floor of the complex will include a multi-purpose studio space, a fitness suite and an immersive cycling studio.
The existing fitness suite area will be turned in to a community volunteering and wellbeing hub, which will host the Lincolnshire Community Volunteering Service.
The gym's separate changing facilities, which will be based on the ground floor, are also getting a major revamp.
The leisure centre will remain open during the work, with all facilities available as usual through a new booking system.
Earlier this year, the Princess Royal Sports Arena on Great Fen Road, Wyberton, also underwent upgrades, including improved ventilation systems and new pool covers.
The town's wider investment project is funded by the government's Levelling Up Fund, as well as by the Boston Town Deal.
Broughton said: "We're now entering a truly transformative phase in the regeneration of Boston."
