National Crime Agency says the seized cocaine has a street value of £20m

Three men have been arrested and 250kg (551 lbs) of cocaine with a street value of £20m has been seized in an operation, the National Crime Agency (NCA) has said.

The trio, who are all in their 30s, were arrested on Thursday by the London Organised Crime Partnership (OCP), which is a joint unit of the NCA and Metropolitan Police.

The NCA said officers arrested the suspects after the drugs were recovered from a lorry in Dartford, Kent.

The men remain in custody and are being questioned on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

Andy Tickner from the OCP said this was "a significant seizure of cocaine".

"Without my officers' efforts to seize it, it would have been on the streets of our communities feeding addiction and leading to other serious offences," he added.
