The family of a motorcyclist who died following a collision with a car has paid tribute to him.

Daniel Morrell, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene on the A6 near Souldrop, Bedfordshire, on 7 August.

Bedfordshire Police said it was called at 06:00 BST, and the road between the petrol station at Souldrop and Knotting Green was closed.

Mr Morrell's wife Charlotte said he was "many wonderful things to many different people".

She added: "My Daniel was a beloved husband and father to his beautiful girls, son, brother, son-in-law and uncle.

"He'll be deeply missed by everyone that knew him, no words can express the hole he has left in our lives."

Police were continuing to appeal for any dashcam footage or witnesses to the incident involving the motorcycle and a blue VW Polo.

Det Sgt Craig Wheeler from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "Our thoughts are with Daniel's loved ones at this time.

"I would like to appeal to anyone that may have seen either the blue VW Polo or the motorcycle, prior to the collision, to get in touch."
