A man is in a "potentially life-threatening" condition in hospital after being stabbed in Plymouth, police have said.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were flagged down on Budshead Road at about 01:00 BST on Monday by the 20-year-old victim, who told them he had been stabbed.
The force said Biggin Hill in the Ernesettle area of the city was closed while investigations were carried out.
Police said two men aged 22 and a 24-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remained in custody. Anyone with information has been asked to contact investigating officers.
Det Insp Marcus Hodge said the incident was "serious" and there would be a heightened police presence in the area.
He added: "We are treating this as an isolated incident and those involved are believed to be known to each other.
"There is no known risk to the wider community."
