Pedestrian, 46, dies after being struck by van

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a van on the outskirts of Aberdeen.
The collision happened on the A92 Aberdeen to Stonehaven road, at its junction with Nigg Way, at about 20:55 on Monday.
The 46-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she later died. The driver of the van was not injured.
The road was closed for about eight hours to allow investigations to be carried out and Police Scotland appealed for witnesses or dash cam footage, external.
