Man charged with extortion and harassing tenants

A 55-year-old man from Edinburgh has been charged with 89 offences including attempted fraud, extortion and harassment of tenants.
Mark Fortune made no plea during an appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on 28 May.
The charges facing Mr Fortune include 35 counts of fraud, two counts of extortion and 36 charges under legislation that deals with offences relating to eviction and harassment.
Mr Fortune was released on bail and will appear in court at a later date.
