A couple have walked more than 102 miles (164 km) in Scotland to raise money for a Guernsey animal charity.

Lee and Roz Harris raised more than £500 for the GSPCA, walking from Glasgow to Fort William along the West Highland Way.

The charity said it could not provide its services without the support of fundraisers.

Mr Harris said they had adopted animals from the GSPCA before and "passionately support the work that this charity does".

He added: "The GSPCA are completely funded through the generosity of the local community and without donations they wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of animals every year that come through their doors."

Steve Byrne, GSPCA manager, said the charity was grateful to the couple.

He said: "I first met Roz and Lee when they adopted three kittens from us just after we built our cattery just over eight years ago.

"It is wonderful that they have supported our work at the GSPCA by doing a sponsored West Highland Way Walk."
