Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal lorry crash in West Sussex.

Emergency services were called following reports of a collision between a Kia Sportage car and a lorry in Long Furlong, in Findon, at about 06:30 BST on Monday.

The driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The lorry driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Officers are investigating the crash, and a road closure on the A280 between the A24 at Findon and the A27 at Durrington remains in place.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
