Two arrests after car crashes into pedestrian

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a pedestrian suffered "life-changing injuries" in a crash, police have said.
A man in his 20s was reportedly hit by a Range Rover at the junction of Etches Close and Western Avenue in Bournemouth at 22:10 BST on Monday.
The force said the victim, from Christchurch, was airlifted to hospital.
The arrested men, aged 20 and 54 and both from Bournemouth, remain in police custody.
Police said the arrested men were known to the victim, and that an investigation was under way.
