A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a crash in Bradford on Saturday.

Police officers were called just before midnight on 27 September to reports of a man in cardiac arrest on Little Horton Lane.

The 68-year-old man died from his injuries at the scene after being hit by a Honda Jazz car, West Yorkshire Police said.

Robert Nagoda, 28, of no fixed abode, is also charged with taking a vehicle without consent, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to stop at a scene of a collision, driving without insurance and failing to report a collision.

He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court later.

A 20-year-old man from Bradford was also arrested and released on bail.

Police appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
