Tui apologised to Sandra Nicklin for the misquote

A woman planning a low-cost break away to Malta could not believe her eyes when her quote per person skyrocketed to £5.8m.

Sandra Nicklin from Blackfield, Hampshire was originally quoted £260.35 each online by TUI for the all inclusive week-long holiday to the island with flights from Luton airport next June.

After getting a message on the app telling her the price for the holiday had gone up she revisited the quote and said: "It was gobsmaking - I started counting how many noughts there were... and for two people it was £11.5m."

The travel company has apologised saying a system error caused the "ambitious pricing error" and that they were working to correct it as quickly as possible.

The studios have been empty since operators Stage Fifty went into administration

A company taking over a film studio says it hopes to bring the "buzz" back to the area.

Winnersh Film Studios in Winnersh Triangle Business Park, Reading, has been vacant since April 2024 and, earlier this year, Wokingham Borough Council approved plans to knock it down.

But now, SCIO Capital, which also owns Wycombe Film Studios in Buckinghamshire, has secured a 30-year lease to take the site over.

Operations director Laurence McCormack said reopening the studios would be beneficial for the local community as well as the industry.

At the home she shared with Radio 2 DJ Johnnie Walker, near Shaftesbury in Dorset, Tiggy Walker tips out what she calls the "basket of love" on to the kitchen island.

Inside are hundreds of envelopes sent to her late husband from listeners in the weeks before he died in December 2024.

One is addressed to "DJ Extraordinaire, Shaftesbury". Another simply reads "DJ and hero".

Tiggy explains: "All of these came without our address on.

"People would write messages to the postman saying 'we know Johnnie is out there, please get this to him'. I just love the fact they all got to us."

Johnnie started his career on pirate radio in the 1960s, before moving on to Radio 1 and Radio 2.

Residents protested about how long it is taking to reopen Belgrave Road in Ventnor after a rockfall

Residents on the Isle of Wight say they are frustrated by how long it is taking to reopen a road blocked by a rockfall.

Debris and large boulders crashed onto Belgrave Road in Ventnor when part of the cliff face gave way in March.

A protest has been held by residents and business owners concerned "not enough is being done to get roads reopened".

Isle of Wight Council said it was "committed to completing the complex and specialist work as quickly and safely as possible". However, it confirmed a recent survey had identified "unstable sections of rock that could fall".

Views about Oxfordshire's rail network over the next 15 years are being sought as part of a public consultation.

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking feedback on new ideas for the county's network, which include four new stations.

It also explores upgrading rail lines, measures to decarbonise the rail system and placing an upgraded Oxford Station "at the heart of the city's next phase of growth".

The public consultation, external is open until 1 October and the final version is expected to be presented to the council's cabinet for formal adoption in November.
