Appeal after reported sexual assault in car park

Police are appealing for information following a reported sexual assault in a car park in Plymouth.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident happened at 09:45 BST on Friday 18 April at Devil's Point car park.

Police officers said they received a call stating a man in his early 20s approached a woman in a parked vehicle and sexually assaulted her.

The force is looking for an Asian man in his early 20s, of slim build, 5ft 6in tall. He was wearing dark clothing on his top half.

Police said they believed other people were in the car park who might have seen the man.

They added that there might be a heightened police presence in the area as enquiries were ongoing.

People who witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage that could help with enquires have been encouraged to contact the police.
