Police investigating a suspected arson on a home in a village have launched an appeal.
Officers believe the rear of a four-bedroom property, in Melton Road, Stanton-on-the-Wolds, near Keyworth in Nottinghamshire, was deliberately set alight some time between 29 June and 17:00 BST on Monday 1 July.
Guttering and cladding was extensively damaged before the fire "fizzled out", the force said. No injuries were reported.
Police asked anyone with information about the fire to contact them.
Det Sgt Katie Hurrell said: “The owner of this property has been very shocked by this incident and cannot understand why it has happened."
