Two teenagers have been arrested after two men were found with stab wounds in Ashford town centre.

Kent Police were called to Bank Street just before 20:00 GMT on Wednesday following reports of an assault.

Crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance Charity attended, and the two men were taken to hospital with injuries which were not life threatening, police said.

Two 17-year-old boys were arrested later the same evening on suspicion of assault and remain in custody while inquiries continue, the force added.

Kent Police has appealed for witnesses to contact them.
