A 20-year-old man has been charged after a man was seriously assaulted in Somerset.

Jack Bracken, from Frome, was charged on 22 December with one count of grievous bodily harm without intent.

Avon and Somerset Police said the charge was in connection with an incident in Trinity Street, Frome, in which a 27-year-old man suffered facial injuries on 14 June.

Bracken has been released on bail and is due to appear at Yeovil Magistrates' Court on 4 March.
