Speed cameras have been attacked with power tools on a picturesque mountain road which featured on the BBC's motoring TV show Top Gear.
The A4069, or the Black Mountain Pass in Bannau Brycheiniog, also known as the Brecon Beacons, is beloved of drivers because of its hairpin bends and spectacular views.
Average speed cameras were installed there after three people were killed and 37 injured on it from 2013 to 2023.
Now Dyfed-Powys Police has said power tools were used in five attacks on a stretch between Brynamman and Llangadog in Carmarthenshire from February to December this year.
All were within a four-mile stretch on which the cameras were installed.
The force said there had been damage to the solar power source and batteries were stolen.

It said there had been no injuries on the road since the cameras were installed at a £250,000 cost.
Police said since they were wrecked the route had become high-risk and fixing them would cost £180,000.
Ch Insp Gareth Morgan, of road safety group GoSafe said: "Whilst there may be a small proportion of society who think that this is acceptable, it is important to remember that these cameras were installed following deaths on this road."
Under the headline "Highways to heaven", Welsh government tourism agency Visit Wales has described it on its website as "one of Britain's best roads".
Visit Wales wrote: "Also known as 'the Top Gear road', after Jeremy Clarkson was filmed driving it, this swooping mountain pass is a favourite with car magazine test drivers, bikers and motorists – and, consequently, the local bobbies."
