Three men have been arrested after a large fight between five people in a Sheffield suburb.

South Yorkshire Police said armed officers were called to reports of a person with a firearm on Batemoor Road on Sunday afternoon.

The men, aged 37, 45, and 58, were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences at around 13:30 BST and remain in police custody, the force said.

A spokesperson said no injuries were reported and no firearms were found during extensive searches of the surrounding area.

They said armed officers had been supported by the National Police Air Service during the incident.
