Woman appears in court over suspected acid attack

A woman accused of being involved in a suspected acid attack in Plymouth has appeared in court.

Paris Wilson, 34, of The Quay, Plymouth, spoke only to confirm her name, age and address during a hearing at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

She has been charged with conspiracy to murder and kidnap Daniel Cahalane, as well as participating in the criminal activity of an organised crime group in connection with the incident in Lipson Road on 21 February.

Wilson, who cried in the dock, was not asked to enter a plea and has been remanded in custody until 12 May when she is due to appear at Plymouth Crown Court for her next hearing.

A number of other people have also been charged in connection with the incident along with Wilson, who wore black jeans and a black and white striped jumper in the dock.

Prosecuting solicitor Gareth Warden told the court the victim remained in hospital in a very serious condition following the attack.
