A bus company has temporarily suspended some of its evening services after incidents where rocks were thrown at its vehicles.

Stagecoach will no longer stop at Rectory Farm in Northampton after 19:00 BST.

The firm said the decision was for "the safety of customers and employees" and that it hoped to restore normal services as soon as possible.

Police said they were investigating the incidents and had received reports identifying possible suspects.

"Extra patrols are taking place in the area and we would encourage anyone with any information as to who may be responsible to contact us," said a Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman.

Stagecoach advised passengers to board at alternative locations such as Great Billing Way or Blackthorn.
