A major dual carriageway has fully reopened following a large diesel spill that left motorists faced with delays of up to an hour.

Highways East said, external traffic had been stopped at about 05:40 BST on the A14 eastbound, between junction 52 at Claydon and junction 53 at Ipswich.

The eastbound slip road at junction 53, where the vehicle that spilled the diesel managed to drive on to, has also reopened, external.

Highways East thanked motorists for their patience.
