A bike safety training scheme in Devon has been given just over £451,000 in funding for the next financial year.
Devon County Council said it had received the money from cycling charity Bikeability for 2025/26 to help provide training for more than 9,300 school children.
The council said it had been running the training provided by Bikeability, which focuses on road safety and improving health, for 19 years with nearly 120,000 young people being put through the course.
Councillor Stuart Hughes, cabinet member for highways management, said the training had been a "sound investment" and the funding was "extremely welcome".
"It's great that we're able to continue delivering this excellent training to thousands of school children, who are the cyclists of tomorrow as well as today," he added.
