Police investigating the unexplained death of a man in Leeds have appealed for help.

Darren Leach, 53, was found dead at his home address on Marsden Grove in Beeston on the morning of 19 March after emergency services responded to a report of concern for safety.

A small fire was also found within the property, West Yorkshire Police said.

Det Ch Insp Stacey Atkinson, who is leading the investigation, said Mr Leach's death was being treated as unexplained and his family were being supported by specialist officers.

She said officers wanted to hear from anyone who might have seen Mr Leach on 18 March, specifically in Cross Flatts park in the morning, or walking between the park and the parade of shops on Beeston Road between 12:00 GMT and 14:30.

Officers also wanted to hear from anyone who may have spoken with, or seen him, from 14:30 onwards.
