A 65-year-old woman accused of murdering a former partner has appeared before a crown court judge.
Prosecutors say the body of 63-year-old Robert Kellett was found in a bathroom at Cheryl Downs' home in Terry Road in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, at about 18:45 BST on Friday.
Miss Downs is also accused of preventing lawful burial.
She appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court via video link, entered no plea to either charge and was remanded in custody pending further hearings.
A prosecution barrister told Judge Jonathan Cooper that Miss Downs and Mr Kellett split up in 2023.
Ian Hope said Mr Kellett, who had moved to Birmingham, was last seen about 11 months ago.
Mr Hope said evidence showed the dead man had suffered head injuries.
Police had not confirmed the identity, but Mr Hope said there was "strong evidence" it was Mr Kellett.
Judge Cooper said another preliminary hearing would took place on 28 November.
