Cathedral dean hopes for peace in new year message

A Church of England dean said "peace begins at home" as he shared his hope for a "better world" in a new year message.
The Dean of Peterborough Cathedral, the Very Reverend Chris Dalliston, said he "yearned" for peace in the whole world.
The Diocese of Peterborough represents the Church of England in the north of the city, and in Northamptonshire and Rutland.
Dean Dalliston said: "We see a very broken, fragile and wounded world but the peace starts with us. It starts in our own hearts and lives."
He said: "We can't magic everything better in the whole world, but if we catch a glimpse of what that peace might be and if we try and practice that in our own lives... surely that's the way that we can grow a better world."
"It begins in our hearts and it's something we need to share with everyone that we can."
