New road signs have been stolen from part of Jersey, parish officials have said.

The Parish of St Saviour said eight signs primarily made from aluminium had been taken and it suspected they had been taken for their resale value, with each costing £250-£300 to produce.

The parish said the signs were taken from Mont de la Rosiere, La Rue de Deloraine, La Rue de la Parade, La Rue des Pigneaux, La Rue de la Commune, New York Lane and two from Le Mont es Neaux.

States of Jersey Police said it had been made aware of the thefts and asked anyone with information to contact officers or Crimestoppers.
